Maria

Hygienist

Maria brings over 20 years of experience in dentistry to Grove Park Dental, with a unique background as a dentist, periodontist, and registered dental hygienist. Her extensive training and passion for periodontal and preventive care allow her to provide thorough, personalized treatment for every patient.

She is highly skilled in gingival therapy, periodontal maintenance, and deep cleanings, and she is certified to administer local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Maria takes pride in educating patients and helping them understand the connection between oral health and overall health.

With a gentle and compassionate approach, Maria is especially great with patients who may feel nervous about dental visits. She is dedicated to creating a relaxed, positive experience while helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Outside of the office, Maria enjoys spending time with family and cooking. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and looks forward to caring for patients in the Grove Park Dental community.

Layla

Hygienist

Layla has been working in a Dental Office since high school, when she developed a love for preventive dentistry. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2011 and has been caring for patients ever since. Layla is meticulous and thorough, but she will keep you comfortable during your regular dental cleanings. Her patients love that she is always on time and has a friendly energy. She is adept at educating patients with ways they can achieve the best oral health with her many tips and tricks for home care. She is very flexible with her schedule and most likely she will help new patients to get their cleaning same day. Layla is very particular about dental stains and discolored teeth, so she will make sure your teeth are squeaky clean and stain free. With Layla as your hygienist, you will have a bright and healthy smile!

Out of the office, Layla is also very passionate about engaging in volunteer Bible education work. This volunteer work also includes humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. In her spare time she enjoys exercise, cooking and spending time with her husband, friends and family. You can find her outside biking, hiking, kayaking, wake-boarding, snowboarding and enjoying nature. She looks forward to meeting you soon!

Maggie

Office Manager

Maggie is the go to if you have questions about your insurance benefits. She will make sure to plan your treatment, optimizing your  coverage. Understanding how dental plans work might be confusing, but she  will make it simple and guide you every step of the way. Maggie also helps patients find options to finance their treatment and pay over time if needed. Maggie oversees different aspects of the daily operations at the office.

She loves taking care of our patients, so don’t be shy. Just ask! Maggie can also help you enroll in our Inhouse Membership Plan, a great option for patients with no dental insurance. Although she comes from the hospitality background, she is passionate about the dental field. She used to work overseas with a cruise line for over 5 years and she can help you make your appointment in at least 5 languages. Maggie is originally from Cuba but has found in Tampa Bay her new home. She is very enthusiastic about the Rays, and any other baseball team with Cuban players.

Karla

Business Assistant

Karla is the warm and welcoming face you’ll see as you step into Grove Park Dental. With her caring approach and attention to detail, she’s here to make your visit as smooth as possible. Karla will assist you with scheduling appointments that fit your calendar and will check your insurance benefits to ensure a seamless experience.

Originally from Cuba, Karla brings a rich cultural background to her role. She spent several years living in Spain, which helped her develop a love for travel and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Now a Tampa Bay resident, she is excited to bring her expertise and warm hospitality to our patients at Grove Park Dental. Karla’s goal is to make sure you feel at ease from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

Maybell

Dental Assistant

Meet Maybell, our dedicated dental assistant who brings a ray of sunshine to our practice. With her native Spanish fluency, Maybell ensures clear communication and a warm welcome for all our patients.

Maybell’s expertise shines as she meticulously sets up for procedures, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care put patients at ease, making each visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Beyond her role at the office, Maybell cherishes time spent with her family and is passionate about staying active. Whether she’s assisting with procedures or pursuing her fitness goals, Maybell’s commitment to excellence is unwavering.

Rosy

Dental Assistant

Rosy is a certified Dental Assistant in Florida with a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She especially loves assisting with cosmetic dentistry cases and seeing the transformation from “before” to stunning results — it’s one of her favorite parts of dentistry! Skilled in dental procedures, radiography, and infection control, she ensures every visit is smooth and efficient. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Rosy connects easily with patients from all backgrounds.

Outside the office, she enjoys shopping and spending sunny days at the beach.
